Browser microphone permission guide
Allow, review and revoke microphone access for browser voice games.
Your quick-start path
Illustrated workflow, not a browser screenshot. Follow the detailed instructions below for exceptions.
Site permission
Allow this site's microphone request; check the address before approving.
System input
Allow your browser to use the microphone and choose the connected input.
Test the signal
Speak normally in Mic Test. A moving meter means audio is reaching the page.

What is stopping you?
Open this site's microphone permission beside the address bar. Change Block to Ask or Allow, then reload. If access stays blocked, check system privacy settings for the browser.
Read permission steps →Recognize the request
A microphone prompt authorizes the site shown by the browser. Check that address before approving. Playing a reference should not require your microphone; recording does. If you decline, you can still read guides and browse material while deciding whether to allow access.
Allow or reverse a blocked decision
Use the browser's controls beside the address bar to review the site's microphone setting. Choose Allow or Ask as appropriate, reload and start a new test. In Safari on Mac, website microphone choices are also available in Settings → Websites. Permission labels may vary with browser version.
Check the second permission layer
Operating systems can block a browser even when the site says Allow. Review microphone privacy settings for the application on Windows, macOS or your phone. On a managed device, a policy may prevent changes. A permission setting cannot repair a muted headset or select the correct hardware for you.
Why the embedded game behaves differently
An embedded frame operates within browser security rules. If the game does not prompt or fails inside a frame, open its full-page route and test there. Approving a different origin does not approve every embedded website. Avoid unfamiliar prompts and do not weaken global browser security to make a single game run.
Stop access when you finish
Stop the recording or test and inspect the browser's microphone indicator. Close the page when finished. On a shared device, revoke the site's permission through site settings. Revoking permission prevents future capture, but is separate from deleting recordings you already saved or deliberately shared.
Permission is not a sharing decision
Microphone permission allows capture in the browser. It does not mean you agreed to publish a recording. Basic DubRound recording is local; optional room state includes information described in the privacy page. Read any separate sharing or upload confirmation before sending media elsewhere.
