How to run local voice party games
Set player order, pass the microphone and score a lively local session.
Your quick-start path
Illustrated workflow, not a browser screenshot. Follow the detailed instructions below for exceptions.
Listen first
Hear the prompt with headphones; avoid recording speaker feedback.
Take your turn
Wait for the recording cue, then match the prompt at a comfortable volume.
Compare and retry
Review the result, try again or pass the microphone to the next player.

Choose local play deliberately
Local play means friends share one device and take turns using its microphone. In DubRound, choose two, three or four players and enter recognizable names. This does not create a remote voice room. Players on different devices need the separate online-room workflow and the same compatible material.
Prepare the room
Use one screen everyone can see and select one reliable microphone. Test a short take at ordinary volume, then stop the test. Keep reference playback out of the mic with headphones or a clear listen-then-record routine. Explain the controls before the first scored turn.
Agree on fair rules
Pick the same Pack, decide whether retries are allowed and agree how to handle a silent or interrupted turn. For a casual party, a microphone failure should lead to a retry rather than an argument about zero points. Keep the microphone distance similar between players.
Run a complete turn
Announce the current and next player. Play the reference, hand over the microphone, record and review the take. Accept or retry under the agreed rules before moving on. If you use the separate Party Board, treat it as a local organizer rather than evidence of server-verified results.
Choose material everyone can follow
Start with short clear prompts. Preview unfamiliar memes or scenes for language, loudness and audience suitability. Mixed voice collections contain non-dialogue sounds, so pick appropriate references first instead of asking a new player to navigate a huge archive mid-turn.
Finish, replay and respect consent
Review the result together and offer another round or a different Pack. Ask each participant before saving or sharing their voice or a screenshot with their name. On a shared computer, close the recording session and remove private local files when you are done.
